We call our young adult ministry, The Jordan, because the Jordan River in Scripture symbolizes transition, transformation, and the beginning of God’s promises. For the Israelites, crossing the Jordan marked the moment they left the wilderness behind and stepped into the future God had prepared for them. In the same way, young adulthood is a season of crossing points and defining decisions. It’s a time when many move from the old and into the new, discovering identity, purpose, calling and sometimes even the person(s), that they will live out this calling with. Our ministry exists to make sure every young adult is seen, known and loved, while walking with them as they navigate this sacred transition. The Jordan is more than a name; it’s an invitation to step boldly into the life God has ahead, impacting the world, living the gospel and serving their church and community.
